The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
