ARE, THEN, they who are bent on denying the truth not aware that the heavens and the earth were [once] one single entity, which We then parted asunder? and [that] We made out of water every living thing? Will they not, then, [begin to] believe? 30 And We have placed on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with them, and We placed therein broad highways for them to pass through, that they may be guided. 31 And We made the sky a well-protected roof. Still they turn away from His signs! 32 It is He who created night and day, the sun and the moon, revolving on its orbit. 33 We have not assigned to any mortal before thee to live forever; therefore, if thou diest, will they live forever? 34 Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned. 35 When those who deny the truth see you, they laugh at you, saying, "Is this the one who talks of your deities?" Yet it is they who deny all mention of the Gracious One. 36 The human was created of haste. Indeed, I will show you My signs; so do not ask Me to hasten them. 37 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 38 If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them! 39 The fire will suddenly strike and confound them. They will not be able to repel it, nor will they be given any respite. 40 Indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before you (O Muhammad SAW), but the scoffers were surrounded by that, whereat they used to mock. 41
