Have not the unbelievers then beheld that the heavens and the earth were a mass all sewn up, and then We unstitched them and of water fashioned every living thing? Will they not believe? 30 And [are they not aware that] We have set up firm mountains on earth, lest it sway with them, and [that] We have appointed thereon broad paths, so that they might find their way, 31 And We have made the heaven a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds, clouds, etc.). 32 And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit. 33 We have never assigned immortality to a human before you, therefore, if you yourself die, will they live for ever? 34 Every soul shall taste death. We will try you with a trial of evil and good. Then, to Us you shall be returned. 35 But when the unbelievers see you they make fun of you (and say): "Is this the one who mentions your gods (deridingly)?" Yet in Ar-Rahman they disbelieve! 36 Man has been created hasty; very soon I shall show you My signs, do not be impatient. 37 And they say: When will this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 38 If only those who disbelieved knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the Fire from their faces, nor from their backs; and they will not be helped. 39 Nay, it may come to them all of a sudden and confound them: no power will they have then to avert it, nor will they (then) get respite. 40 Messengers indeed were mocked at before thee, but those that scoffed at them were encompassed by that they mocked at. 41
