We answered the prayer of Noah who had prayed to Us before and saved him and his followers from the great disaster. 76 And We helped him against the people who denied Our signs; indeed they were evil people, We therefore drowned them all. 77 And (remember) Dawud (David) and Sulaiman (Solomon), when they gave judgement in the case of the field in which the sheep of certain people had pastured at night and We were witness to their judgement. 78 We made Solomon to understand it, and to both We gave judgment and knowledge. And with David We subjected the mountains and birds to exalt (Allah). All this We have done. 79 We taught him the art of making coats of mail for you, to protect you in battle. Will you then give thanks? 80 And We subjected the fast wind for Sulaiman, which moved by his command towards the land in which We have placed blessings; and We know everything. 81 And of the rebellious people there were those who dived for him and did other work besides that, and We kept guard over them; 82 ۞ We bestowed (the same wisdom, judgement and knowledge) upon Job. Recall, when he cried to his Lord: "Behold, disease has struck me and You are the Most Merciful of those that are merciful." 83 Therefore We responded to him and took off what harm he had, and We gave him his family and the like of them with them: a mercy from Us and a reminder to the worshippers. 84 And Isma'il and ldris and Zul-Kifl! each were of the patient. 85 And We admitted them into Our mercy; indeed they are among those who deserve Our proximity. 86 And remember Zun-nun, when he departed in wrath: He imagined that We had no power over him! But he cried through the deptHs of darkness, "There is no god but thou: glory to thee: I was indeed wrong!" 87 So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers. 88 Remember Zachariah, when he called out to his Lord, "Do not leave me heirless Lord, You are the best of heirs." 89 So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive. 90 And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity, so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds. 91 Verily, this brotherhood of yours is a single brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore serve Me (and no other). 92 But they have broken up and differed as regards their religion among themselves. (And) they all shall return to Us. 93
