The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 save from their wives, or those whom their right hands possess; for with regard to them they are free from blame " 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 to their promise, 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We send down water from the cloud according to a measure, then We cause it to settle in the earth, and most surely We are able to carry it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And behold, in the cattle [too] there is indeed a lesson for you: We give you to drink of that [milk] which is within their bellies; and you derive many [other] uses from them: for, you eat of their flesh, 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
