The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 Those who humbly cry in their prayers. 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 And those who of their prayers are observant. 9 These are they who are the heirs, 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
