O Ye apostles! eat the good things and work righteously; verily of that which ye work I am the Knower. 51 Surely this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord; so fear Me.' 52 But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 Do they think that by increasing their wealth and children 55 We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Only those who are, out of fear of Him, humble before their Lord, 57 and those who believe in the signs of their Lord 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 Are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a Book with Us which speaks the truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Why did they not think over the message? Or has something come to them which had not come to their fathers? 68 Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. 71 Are you asking them for something? What Allah has given you is the best. He is the Best of providers. 72 And verily thou! thou callest them unto a Path straight. 73 but, behold, those who will not believe in the life to come are bound to deviate from that way. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 And indeed, We tested them through suffering, but they did not abase themselves before their Sustainer; and they will never humble themselves 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
