O you apostles, eat things that are clean, and do things that are good. We are surely cognisant of what you do. 51 “And indeed this religion of yours is one religion only and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me.” 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 So leave thou them in their perplexity for a time. 54 Do they assume that the wealth and sons which We provide them – 55 We are busy lavishing on them all kinds of good? Nay, they do not perceive the reality of the matter. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 Who believe in their Lord's revelations, 58 Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; 59 who spend their property for the cause of God, and whose hearts are afraid of their return 60 These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a Book with Us which speaks the truth, and they shall not be wronged. 62 NAY, [as for those who have torn asunder the unity of faith] - their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this! But apart from that [breach of unity] they have [on their conscience even worse] deeds; and they will [continue to] commit them 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Cry not for succor this day; surely you shall not be given help from Us. 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 Insolently, treating them like tales told at night." 67 Have they, then, never tried to understand this word [of God]? Or has there [now] come to them something that never came to their forefathers of old? 68 Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? 69 Or say they: "There is madness in him?" Nay, but he brought them the truth [i.e. "(A) Tauhid: Worshipping Allah Alone in all aspects (B) The Quran (C) The religion of Islam,"] but most of them (the disbelievers) are averse to the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their caprices, the heavens and the earth and whosoever in them is had surely corrupted. Nay, We brought them their Remembrance, but from their Remembrance they turned. 71 Do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them? So the reward of your Lord is the best; and He is the Best Provider of Sustenance. 72 Assuredly thou art calling them to a straight path; 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ If We took compassion on them and removed the affliction they are in, they would only wander lost in confusion. 75 Already We have seized them with the punishment, but they neither humbled themselves to their Lord, nor did they beseech Him, 76 Until, when We open for them the gate of severe punishment, then lo! They will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair. 77
