It is He who produced for you hearing, and eyes, and hearts; little thanks you show. 78 It was He who scattered you on the earth, and before Him you shall be gathered. 79 It is He who gives life and causes death and it is He who alternates night and day. Will you not then understand? 80 Nay, but they say the like of what their predecessors of yore had said. 81 They said, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be indeed raised up? 82 We and our fathers have been promised this before. It is but of the ancients' fictitious tales' 83 (Muhammad), say to them, "Tell me, if you know, to whom does the earth and its contents belong?" 84 They will say: "It is Allah's!" Say: "Will you not then remember?" 85 Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?" 86 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “So why do you not fear?” 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will reply spontaneously, "It is God." Ask them, "Why has falsehood bewitched you?" 89 In fact We have sent the truth to them, but they are liars. 90 God has never given birth to a son and there is no other god besides Him. If there were, each god would have taken away his creatures and claimed superiority over the others. God is too exalted to be as they believe Him to be. 91 [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him]. 92
