Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. 96 And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). 97 I seek refuge with You, Lord, lest they should come near me." 98 When death approaches one of the unbelievers, he says, "Lord, send me back again 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown – so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 Therefore the ones whose scales prove heavy – they are the successful. 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 The Fire will scorch their faces and they will abide therein with their faces distorted. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 'Lord' they will reply, 'adversity prevailed over us and we were erring. 106 Our Lord! Take us out of this. Then if we revert (to evil-doing) we shall indeed be wrongdoers." 107 'Slink you into it,' He shall say, 'and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 Now today I have recompensed them for their patient endurance; they are the triumphant.' 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will say, "We stayed a day or part of a day. Ask those who have kept count." 113 He shall say, 'You have tarried but a little, did you know. 114 Did you think that We had created you for a playful purpose and that you were not to return to Us?" 115 So exalted be Allah, the True King; no god is there but He, the Lord of the honorable dominion. 116 If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
