Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens out the shadow? He could have kept it motionless if He liked. Yet We make the sun its pilot to show the way. 45 and then, [after having caused it to lengthen,] We draw it in towards Ourselves with a gradual drawing-in. 46 And it is He who hath made for you the night a covering, and the sleep repose, and hath made the day a resurrection. 47 It is He who loosens the winds, bearing glad tidings before the Hands of His Mercy, and We have sent down pure water from the heaven, 48 That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give many beasts and men that We have created to drink thereof. 49 And We have distributed the (water) amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our) praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank) ingratitude. 50 Had We pleased We could have raised a warner in every town. 51 so do not yield to those who deny the truth, but strive with the utmost strenuousness by means of this [Quran, to convey its message to them]. 52 ۞ And it is He Who has let free the two seas (kinds of water), one palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter, and He has set a barrier and a complete partition between them. 53 And it is He, Who created man from water: then from him He caused two kinds of kindred, by blood and by marriage: your Lord is AI I-Powerful. 54 They worship besides God things that can neither benefit nor harm them. The unbelievers are defiant against their Lord. 55 And We have not sent you but as a giver of good news and as a warner. 56 Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way." 57 Hence, place thy trust in the Living One who dies not, and extol His limitless glory and praise: for none is as aware as His creatures' sins as He 58 He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed. 59 And when it is said to them, “Prostrate to the Most Gracious” – they say, “And what is the Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to whatever you command us?” And this command only increases the hatred in them. (Command of Prostration # 7) ۩ 60
