Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
