Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 He said: I did it then when I was mistaken. 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said: "And what is the 'Lord and Cherisher of the worlds'?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 The Pharaoh said, "The Messenger who has been sent to you is certainly insane". 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 He (Pharaoh) replied: 'Show us your sign, if you are of the truthful' 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
