And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: "My Lord! Verily, I fear that they will belie me, 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 [Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray. 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 Moses continued, "He is the Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 (No sooner had he said this than) Moses threw down his rod and behold, it was a veritable serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it was white unto the beholders. 33
