And when thy Lord called Moses, saying: Go unto the wrongdoing folk, 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 Send with us the Children of Isra'il? 17 He (Pharaoh) said (to Moses): 'Did We not bring you up when you were a child? And have you not spent years of your life amongst us? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 Said he: Most surely your Apostle who is sent to you is mad. 27 Moses said, "He is the Lord of the East and the West, and all that lies between them, if only you could understand." 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
