Recite unto them the story of Abraham: 69 When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" 70 They answered: We worship idols, and we remain ever devoted to them." 71 He said: hearken they unto you when ye cry? 72 or do they profit you, or harm?' 73 They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing so." 74 Said [Abraham]: "Have you, then, ever considered what it is that you have been worshipping 75 You and your ancient forefathers? 76 Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds, 77 Who created me and showed me the way, 78 "And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. 79 and heals me when I am sick. 80 "And Who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life (again); 81 "And who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the day of Judgment. 82 My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous; 83 and appoint me a tongue of truthfulness among the others. 84 and make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; 85 and forgive my father for he is among those who strayed, 86 Do not degrade me on the Day when they are resurrected. 87 the Day when wealth and sons will be of no avail, 88 except him who comes before Allah with a pure heart; 89 And Paradise shall be brought forward for the godfearing, 90 And the (Hell) Fire will be placed in full view of the erring. 91 and they will be asked: "Where are the gods that you worshipped 92 Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?" 93 So they shall be thrown down into it, they and the erring ones, 94 and so too the hosts of Iblis, all of them. 95 There they will quarrel with one another and the erring ones will say (to their deities): 96 "By God, we were most obviously astray 97 When we equalled you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 And none led us astray except the culprits. 99 Now we have none to intercede for us, 100 Nor any sincere friend. 101 "'Now if we only had a chance of return we shall truly be of those who believe!'" 102 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 103 Verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 104

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
