The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 If only you would realize, their account is with my Lord. 113 And I am not (here) to repulse believers. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me." 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
