Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 then We destroyed the others. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 175
