The men of the Thicket cried lies to the Envoys 176 When Shu'aib said to them: "Will you not take heed? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 “And do not give the people their goods diminished, and do not roam the earth causing turmoil.” 183 "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them. It was the chastisement of a very awesome day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
