The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Behold, Shu'aib said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 Weigh with correct scales: 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 So cause a piece of the sky to fall upon us if you are truthful." 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
