The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Give just measure, and cause no loss (to others by fraud). 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: Thou art but one of the bewitched; 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: My Lord is Best Aware of what ye do. 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
