Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe therein until they behold the torment afflictive. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Shall we be respited?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
