And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every lying sinner, 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
