The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by the angels who float (in the heavens by the will of God), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment). 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying: "I am alone your lord, the highest of them all." 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
