And when the messengers came unto the family of Lot, 61 he said, "You seem to be strangers". 62 They answered: "Nay, but we have come unto thee with [the announcement of] something that they [who are given to evil] have always been wont to call in question, 63 "Yet we bring to you the truth, and we are truthful. 64 Therefore go forth with your followers in a part of the night and yourself follow their rear, and let not any one of you turn round, and go forth whither you are commanded. 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the inhabitants of the city came rejoicing (at the news of the young men's arrival). 67 He said: 'These are my guests; do not shame me. 68 And fear Allah, and humiliate me not. 69 They replied: 'Have we not forbidden you (the people of) the worlds' 70 He said: 'Here are my daughters; take them (in marriage), if you would be doing' 71 By your life! In their drunkenness they were truly blind. 72 So the shriek seized them at sunrise. 73 We laid it (the city) upside down and rained stones of baked clay upon them. 74 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the prudent ones. 75 And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road. 76 Indeed in this are signs for the believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 So We took retribution from them, and indeed, both [cities] are on a clear highway. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
