And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So invoke not with Allah another ilah (god) lest you be among those who receive punishment. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 O people, shall I tell you on whom it is that satans descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And the astray follow the poets. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
