And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never have We destroyed a habitation till We had sent admonishers to them 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
