And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]? 67 Assuredly we have been promised this aforetime, we and our fathers. Naught is this but fables of the ancients. 68 Say thou: travel in the land and behold what like hath been the end of the culprits. 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 But verily thy Lord is full of grace to mankind: Yet most of them are ungrateful. 73 And most surely your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they manifest. 74 And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in a clear book. 75 Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. 76 It is a guidance and grace for those who believe. 77 Verily, your Lord will decide between them (various sects) by His Judgement. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 You cannot make the dead to listen, or the deaf to hear the call, when they have turned their backs, 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the Word falls on them, We will bring out from the earth a beast that shall speak to them: 'Indeed the people were not certain of Our verses.' 82
