We sent Noah to his people, and he lived with them a thousand years minus fifty. Then they were caught by the deluge for they were evil. 14 And We rescued him and the people aboard the ship, and made the ship a sign for the entire world. 15 And Abraham! (Remember) when he said unto his folk: Serve Allah, and keep your duty unto Him; that is better for you if ye did but know. 16 Those that you worship instead of Allah are merely idols, and you are simply inventing lies (about them). Indeed those whom you worship beside Allah have no power to provide you with any sustenance. So seek your sustenance from Allah and serve only Him and give thanks to Him alone. It is to Him that you will be sent back. 17 And if ye belie me, then communities before you have belied: and upon the apostle is naught but a preaching manifest. 18 Do they not see how God originates creation, then reverts it back? This is indeed how inevitably the law of God works; 19 Say thou: go about in the land and behold what wise He hath originated creation; and then Allah shall produce another production; verily Allah is over everything Potent. 20 chastising whom He will, and having mercy on whomsoever He will, and unto Him you shall be turned. 21 You cannot challenge God in the heavens or in the earth. No one besides God is your guardian or helper. 22
