Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book, wherein no doubt is, from the Lord of all Being. 2 Do they say, "He has invented it himself."? No indeed! It is the truth from your Lord to warn a people to whom, before you, no warner came, so that hopefully they may be rightly guided. 3 Allah it is Who created the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, in six Days. Then He mounted the Throne. Ye have not, beside Him, a protecting friend or mediator. Will ye not then remember? 4 He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. 5 He is the knower of the Unseen and the Visible, the All-mighty, the All-compassionate, 6 who gave everything its perfect form. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained. 8 Then He fashioned him and breathed into him something of a spirit from Him; and He ordained for you hearing and sight and hearts. Little is the thanks ye return. 9 And they said, “When we have mingled into the earth, will we be created again?”; in fact they disbelieve in the meeting with their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: The angel of death, who hath charge concerning you, will gather you, and afterward unto your Lord ye will be returned. 11
