The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Those who in their prayer are lowly. 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants; 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And on them, and on ships you are carried. 22
