If only thou couldst see when the guilty ones will bend low their heads before their Lord, (saying:) "Our Lord! We have seen and we have heard: Now then send us back (to the world): we will work righteousness: for we do indeed (now) believe." 12 And if We had willed, surely! We would have given every person his guidance, but the Word from Me took effect (about evil-doers), that I will fill Hell with jinn and mankind together. 13 We shall say to them, "Taste this -- for you forgot you would ever meet this Day. We too will forget you -- taste the chastisement of Eternity for your [evil] deeds!" 14 Only those believe in Our signs who, when they are reminded of them, fall down in prostration and proclaim the Purity of their Lord while praising Him, and are not conceited. (Command of prostration # 9). ۩ 15 Their sides leave off the couches calling upon their Lord in fear and in desire, and of that wherewith We have provided them they expend. 16 No one knows what delights of the eyes are kept hidden for them as a reward for their deeds. 17 So will the believer ever be equal to the one who is lawless? They are not equal! 18 As for those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there await them the Gardens of the Refuge, in hospitality for that they were doing. 19 but as for those who are lost in iniquity - their goal is the fire: as oft as they will try to come out of it, they will be thrown back into it; and they will be told, "Taste [now] this suffering through fire which you were wont to call a lie!" 20 And verily, We will make them taste of the near torment (i.e. the torment in the life of this world, i.e. disasters, calamities, etc.) prior to the supreme torment (in the Hereafter), in order that they may (repent and) return (i.e. accept Islam). 21 And who is more wicked than he who, when reminded of the verses of his Lord turns away from them? We take revenge on the sinners. 22
