Your property and children cannot bring you closer to Us. Only those who believe and act righteously will have double reward for their deeds and will live in secure mansions. 37 But those who try to subvert Our signs will be given over to punishment 38 Say: "Verily my Lord increases or restricts the provision of any of His creatures as He will, and repays whatsoever you spend. He is the best of all providers." 39 On the Day when He gathers them all together, He will ask the angels, "Was it you that these people worshipped?" 40 They (angels) will say: "Glorified be You! You are our Wali (Lord) instead of them. Nay, but they used to worship the jinns; most of them were believers in them." 41 today ye own not for one another either benefit or hurt. And We shall say unto those who did wrong: taste the torment of the Fire which ye were wont to belie. 42 When Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them they say: “This is a person who wants to turn you away from the deities whom your ancestors worshipped.” They say: “This is nothing but an invented falsehood.” And when the Truth came to the unbelievers they declared: “This is nothing but plain sorcery,” 43 whereas We gave them no Books that they could study nor sent to them any warner before you. 44 And those before them rejected (the truth), and these have not yet attained a tenth of what We gave them, but they gave the lie to My apostles, then how was the manifestation of My disapproval? 45
