The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 By the angels reciting the praise. 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And, when they are admonished, pay no heed,- 13 When they are shown a sign, they scoff at it 14 And they say: this Qur'an is naught but magic manifest. 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low. 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
