The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 And have placed therein a guard against any satan froward. 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And when they are warned they pay no heed. 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
