The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I CALL TO witness those who stand arrayed in rows, 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Lo! thy Lord is surely One; 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing. 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
