The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 by those who reprove severely, 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the speech of those on higher elevations and they are targeted from every side. 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 So ask them (that is, human beings): “Were they harder to create than the objects We created?” We created them from sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 It shall be but one shout, lo! they shall be staring. 19 and will say: "Oh, woe unto us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
