۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” – 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 And stop them, for they must be questioned. 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They shall say: Surely you used to come to us from the right side. 28 They will reply: "Nay, you yourselves were not believers. 29 we had no authority over you; no, you were an insolent people. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 We led you astray as we were ourselves astray." 32 Therefore, on that Day they will all share Our punishment. 33 Even so We do with the sinners; 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 But the bondmen of Allah, the sincere ones 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss. 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 Round shall be passed a cup unto them filled with limpid drink: 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 Theirs shall be wide-eyed maidens with bashful, restrained glances, 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 They will go to one another asking each other questions. 50 One of them will say: “I had a companion in the world 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 Shall we be recompensed for our deeds after we die and become bones and dust? 53 He says, 'Are you looking down?' 54 Then he will look and see him in the midst of the Fire. 55 'By Allah' he will say, 'you almost destroyed me! 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 Then he will say [to his blessed companions], "Are we not going to die, 58 Other than our first death, and we shall not be punished? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 Its spathes are like the heads of satans. 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 And afterward, lo! thereupon they have a drink of boiling water 67 Then thereafter, verily, their return is to the flaming fire of Hell. 68 These are the ones who found their fathers steeped in error, 69 yet they run in their footsteps, 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 And indeed We sent among them warners (Messengers); 72 Then see what was the end of those who were warned (but heeded not). 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74
