۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 Besides Allah, then lead them to the way to hell. 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 But they, that Day, are in surrender. 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers, 29 We had no authority over you, in fact, you were a rebellious people. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So this day they all are partners in the punishment. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in the Gardens of Bliss 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 Round will be passed to them a Cup from a clear-flowing fountain, 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 like closely guarded pearls. 49 They advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 50 And a speaker from among them will say: verily there was unto me a mate. 51 who used to say: -- Are you also one of those who confirm the Truth (of life after death)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 (A voice) said: "Would ye like to look down?" 54 He therefore looked down and saw him amidst the blazing fire. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 (Allah informs about that true believer that he said): "Are we then not to die (any more)? 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of al-Zaqqum? 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 It is a tree that grows from the bottom of Hell; 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 And behold, above all this they will be confounded with burning despair! 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
