Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I call the reprehensive soul to witness: 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 So, when the sight shall be dazed, 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 people will say, "Is there anywhere to run away?" 10 But there is nowhere to take refuge: 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation (by Us). 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 Human beings certainly do not want to pay much attention to the Quran. In fact, they love the worldly life 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 And anguish will be heaped upon anguish: 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
