The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel: 5 When they sat by it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 the armies of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet the infidels persist in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 that exists in a well-guarded tablet. 22
