Al-Najm 3 of 3
Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that it is He Who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
