3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We delivered him and his people from the Great Calamity, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
