But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And what you do not see 39 Most surely, it is the Word brought by an honored Apostle, 40 And it is not the speech of a poet. Little it is that ye believe 41 Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer; how little do you ponder! 42 A sending down from the Lord of all Being. 43 Had Muhammad invented some words against Us. 44 We would have seized him by the right hand, 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein. 46 And not one of you could have withheld Us from him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it). 49 and (on the Day of Judgment) this will be a great source of regret for the unbelievers. 50 And He, He is indeed the ultimate Reality. 51 (Muhammad), glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 52
