Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. 95 Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 I seek refuge in You lest they come to me." 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 That I may do some good I did not do (in the world)." Not so. These are only words he utters. Behind them lies the intervening barrier (stretching) to the day of their resurrection. 100 So when the Trumpet is blown – so there will neither be any relationship among them* that day, nor will they ask about one another. (The disbelievers) 101 Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful. 102 but those whose scales are light shall forfeit their souls and live in Gehenna (Hell) for ever. 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 "Were not My messages read out to you? But you denied them." 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 Lord, take us out of this and if we sin again, we shall certainly be unjust". 107 He shall say: slink away there unto, and speak not unto Me. 108 Among My worshipers there were a party who said: "Lord, we believed. Forgive us and have mercy on us: You are the Best of the merciful." 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will say: We tarried a day or part of a day, but ask those who keep account. 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 Then, exalted be God, the true King, there is no deity except Him, the Lord of the Glorious Throne. 116 And the one who worships any other God along with Allah – of which he does not have any proof – his account is with his Lord; indeed there is no salvation for the disbelievers. 117 And say: 'My Lord, forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of the merciful' 118
