Whatever misfortune happens to you, is because on the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants forgiveness. 30 And you cannot escape in the earth, and you shall not have a guardian or a helper besides Allah. 31 Among His signs are the ships sailing like mountains on the sea: 32 If He willeth He causeth the wind to cease so that they keep still on the back thereof; verily therein are signs for every patient, grateful person. 33 Or He may destroy them because of that which they have earned, and He may pardon many of them. 34 those who dispute Our signs shall learn that they have no escape. 35 So whatever you have been given is but a passing enjoyment for this worldly life, but that which is with Allah (Paradise) is better and more lasting for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) and put their trust in their Lord (concerning all of their affairs). 36 who eschew grave sins and shameful deeds, and whenever they are angry, forgive; 37 and who respond to [the call of] their Sustainer and are constant in prayer; and whose rule [in all matters of common concern] is consultation among themselves; and who spend on others out of what We provide for them as sustenance; 38 And those who, when tyranny strikes them, they defend themselves, 39 The retribution of a harmful deed is the harm equal to it; so whoever forgives and makes amends, so his reward is upon Allah; indeed He does not befriend the unjust. 40 And whosoever vindicateth himself after wrong done to him; these! against them there is no way of blame. 41 The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment. 42 To exercise patience and forgive (the wrong done to one) is the proof of genuine determination. 43
