Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 His wealth avails him not, neither what he has earned; 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
