Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 Those are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 for a guidance and a mercy to the good-doers 3 Those who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate and they are certain of the hereafter. 4 these are rightly guided by their Lord: and these are the ones who will prosper. 5 There are some human beings who purchase an enchanting diversion in order to lead people away from the way of Allah without having any knowledge, who hold the call to the Way of Allah to ridicule. A humiliating chastisement awaits them. 6 And when Our communications are recited to him, he turns back proudly, as if he had not heard them, as though in his ears were a heaviness, therefore announce to him a painful chastisement. 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 Therein they will be abiders: a true promise of Allah. And He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind. 10 This is the Creation of Allah. Now show me that which those (ye worship) beside Him have created. Nay, but the wrong-doers are in error manifest! 11
