And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 And they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, that you do not speak' 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: Surely I fly to my lord; He will guide me. 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
