We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
